Iran Reports Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Counterattacks.
Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a large-scale and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity close to the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any damage is uncertain and the United States has yet to issue a statement.
Missile Defenses Activated
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - said they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That initial attack - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas linked to the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a several projectiles," it added.
It said wreckage landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some material damage and killing a civilian.
The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
